Black Pepper Paneer

Ingredients
- 400 g paneer, cubed
- 120 g capsicum, sliced
- 100 g onion, sliced
- 15 g ginger-garlic paste
- 25 ml cooking oil
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 4 g salt, or to taste
- 60 ml water
- 1 tsp cornflour mixed with 1 tbsp water, optional
- 2 tbsp spring onion greens or coriander
- 2 tsp Whole Black Pepper
Instructions
- 1Coarsely crush the Whole Black Pepper.
- 1Heat oil and sear paneer lightly; remove to a plate.
- 2In the same pan, sauté onion, capsicum and ginger-garlic paste on high heat.
- 3Add soy sauce, water, salt and half the crushed pepper.
- 4Return paneer, add optional cornflour slurry and toss until lightly coated.
- 5Finish with lemon, remaining pepper and spring onion greens.
Recipe notes
Crush the pepper immediately before cooking and add part of it at the end for fresher aroma.
